LetMeHelp plugin for WordPress

As a web developer, I am always seeking new skills and solutions for complex tasks. This drive led me to create LetMeHelp, a plugin that streamlines support for WordPress websites. It also allowed me to master React JS, WordPress plugin development, REST API, and database management.

Inspired by support request experiences at Themes Harbor, I realized a multi-step contact page could save time for website owners and visitors. With this insight, I set out to create LetMeHelp.

With some prior experience in React JS from working on my React-based web app and personal website, I decided to take on the challenge of mastering it further.

For LetMeHelp, I dedicated time to exploring other aspects of this powerful JavaScript library and used my newfound skills to build a React-based admin panel for the plugin. Additionally, I created a custom WordPress block that includes customization options and a testing feature.

Next, I delved into more advanced WordPress plugin development, ensuring compatibility with the WordPress ecosystem. Besides using OOP PHP, I also employed an autoloader and namespaces.

The REST API was crucial in my learning journey. I used it to connect the React-based admin panel and the WordPress database, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of links and keywords.

Lastly, I honed my database management skills. I created custom tables for better performance, allowing LetMeHelp to quickly display relevant solutions and improving the overall process.

Focusing on saving time for website owners and visitors, I'm proud of creating a tool that streamlines support processes and improves user experience. I believe LetMeHelp is a valuable addition to any WordPress website. Themes Harbor already uses it to improve the support system.

In conclusion, building LetMeHelp was an enriching experience. I developed a useful tool and mastered essential web development skills, making me a better developer and creator of a plugin I truly believe in.

Currently, the plugin is under a review at WordPress.org. Hopefully, it will get approved soon.
